• In this eight-minute clip from a special feature included with the DVD box set Letters from Fontainhas: Three Films by Pedro Costa, Costa talks to filmmaker Jean-Pierre Gorin about his introduction to and fascination with the community that gives the trilogy its name. The Portuguese filmmaker reveals that his approach to sound and image began to change after discovering this milieu, and that ultimately, Fontainhas permanently altered his artistic outlook and the way he wants to make films.

From which Costa film is the video seen during this interview taken from? The interviewer mumbles so it's impossible to make out his first question regarding the issues of sound. Amazing stuff.
