Joachim Trier

Joachim Trier is a Norwegian Danish filmmaker. He is a multiple-time Oscar nominee and the winner of Norway’s first Academy Award for a fiction feature film, as well as its first BAFTA award, Golden Globe, and Cannes Film Festival Grand Prix. Four of his six features have premiered at Cannes, including his latest film, Sentimental Value (2025), which is the highest-grossing Norwegian film ever internationally. His other films include Reprise (2006); Oslo, August 31st (2011); Louder Than Bombs (2015); Thelma (2017); and The Worst Person in the World (2021).
