jesus. you sound like a kid at xmas. wait until you get them, watch, and then have something legit to say other than the immediate gratification of "I want".

The first picture shows the box still in the shrinkwrap with the sticker on it. The second picture shows the box with the shrinkwrap (and sticker) removed.

My only gripe is the box is a bit flimsy -- I'd rather have a chipboard container, something that can take a bit of a beating -- but this is such a tiny complaint next to the sheer fact of this set's existence.
you can probably have titanium replicas redone after you receive them so they will withstand a mountain coming apart and rolling downhill on top of your house.
you fear too much for so little. I wonder why you bother to post such fears?
I just picked it up yesterday at Barnes and Noble (40% off btw in store and online). The packaging is great. A smoother grade of cardboard and beautiful pictures in the booklet. A great addition to the collection overall. Stands alongside the By Brakhage Bru-ray set.
I like the packaging on this film.
I strongly feel Criterion should adopt a better packing of the films. Criterion should consider a point of difference in packaging and adopt the DIGIBOOK Packaging or something better.
We are loyal fans and pay more for these films. I just don't see a strong point of difference in packaging versus other Blu-Ray out there. The Digibook Packaging, I believe is the best format on movie packaging delivered in the market today.
“Michael, I'm not sure what you mean by "Turner DVD" nor what you mean by there being an editing issue. Are you referring to the Warner DVD with the red snap-case? It does have a cropping issue . . .”
“After Golden Age of cinema with Visconti, Rossellini and De Sica , now, we miss that time and asking our-self where Italian cinema is. I think real melodrama is this reality.”
