Seriously bizarre imagery in this one. The director himself plays a tongue-wagging demon to comical effect. This film may be the granddaddy of exploitation cinema -- taking a faux-serious approach (via inter-titles) to material that is actually being sensationalized. Dwain Esper would soon follow.

An amazing film, filled to the brim with macabre characters and imagery. (I like the last one especially.)

devil worship sure got a leg down way back when in the wealth of material contained in this marvelous DVD. the William S. Burroughs edition has his raspy, demonic voiceover, but lacks the sheer, stark evil of the initial silent edition. a highly recommended DVD for any film buff regardless of genre.
