In February, we launched our Hulu channel with the first six films in the classic Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman series. We promised that we would soon be adding more titles, and today we’re pleased to announce that another dozen Zatoichi movies, plus Roman Polanski’s debut feature, Knife in the Water, are showing for free on Hulu. The twelve new titles are:
Zatoichi’s Flashing Sword
Fight, Zatoichi, Fight
The Adventures of Zatoichi
Zatoichi’s Revenge
Zatoichi and the Doomed Man
Zatoichi and the Chess Expert
Zatoichi’s Vengeance
Zatoichi’s Pilgrimage
Zatoichi’s Cane Sword
Zatoichi Challenged
Zatoichi and the Fugitives
Samaritan Zatoichi
All twelve films star Shintaro Katsu in his most iconic role, as the legendary blind masseur who lives by the yakuza code and answers his foes with a deadly cane sword. Fans will be especially pleased to note that Zatoichi’s Pilgrimage, the long unavailable fourteenth film in the series, is here making its home video debut.
You can start watching by heading to our Hulu channel. Help make our Hulu adventure a success, and as always, let us know what you think!
