Make Way for More Bob Dylan Bootlegs

Dylan bootlegs

More light is about to be shed on the era of Bob Dylan’s career immortalized in D. A. Pennebaker’s Dont Look Back. The latest installment of Dylan’s Bootleg Series has just been announced for a November 6 release, and it will feature demos, alternative versions, and outtakes exclusively from 1965 and 1966; many of these songs are featured in Pennebaker’s film, including “Love Minus Zero,” “She Belongs to Me,” “It's All Over Now, Baby Blue,” and “Subterranean Homesick Blues.” It promises to be a fascinating listen, as these years mark a moment of major transition for Dylan, when he went from acoustic to electric, and many tracks in the collection are performed in both formats.
