Oklahoma Lola

When cinematographic genius Max Ophuls made his first Technicolor, CinemaScope extravaganza (also, sadly, his last, due to his death), he pulled out all the stops. Lola Montès, his ravishing biopic of the notorious nineteenth-century courtesan, is the kind of film that begs to be experienced on the big screen. Viewers at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art have the chance to do so tonight, in a special screening of the film on 35 mm.
