The Thin Blue Line: A Radical Classic By Charles Musser
Inside the Pink Stable By Chuck Stephens
Our own Kim Hendrickson and Susan Arosteguy will be in Columbus, Ohio, tonight to discuss movies—and monsters—at the Wexner Center for the Arts. At 7 p.m., in an event the Wexner’s website promises will be a “behind-the-scenes look at Criterion’s operation,” the two producers will share insights into the processes behind such recent releases as Carlos; Salò, or The 120 Days of Sodom; and Island of Lost Souls. Lucky guests will then be treated to a special screening of Island, the long-unavailable 1932 Hollywood creature feature starring Charles Laughton as the diabolical Dr. Moreau—which is coming out on Criterion DVD and Blu-ray October 25.
Good news for those of us who are far from Columbus: the Wexner will be live streaming the discussion!
