He explains how in the latest episode of our series Adventures in Moviegoing, now streaming on the Criterion Channel on FilmStruck, which features the six-time MVP in conversation with Oscar-nominated writer-director Philip Kaufman (The Right Stuff, The Unbearable Lightness of Being). As the two find common ground in their interest in basketball, jazz, and samurai movies, Abdul-Jabbar shares stories about his lifelong love affair with the movies and his career as a basketball star.
