• We are currently working on a special edition of Todd Solondz’s Life During Wartime, including a supplement in which the director will answer viewer questions about his film. If you have something you’d like to ask him, please e-mail it to asktodd@criterion.com. We can’t guarantee he will answer all (or any) of your questions, but they will all be eligible for consideration.

We will be accepting your questions through Sunday, March 27, 2011. Questions posted here in the comments will not be considered. Please do not send any personal requests; they will not be answered. Please do send thoughtful and creative questions. Send as many questions as you like, but remember to include your full name, city, state, and country of residence. Thanks for participating!

By sending a question to this address, you allow the Criterion Collection to use your full name, city, state, and country of residence and your question in full or edited form, in any or all media, worldwide, in perpetuity.

I for one am a huge fan of Todd Solondz's work and LIFE DURING WARTIME is one of his very best so I'm very excited to hear about the upcoming Special Edition from Criterion (meaning: first time ever we'll get real special features on a Solondz film!) :) Also: Excited for the opportunity to submit questions to be answered by this great, underappreciated and often misunderstood genius! :)

I've already emailed my questions. I just hope he answers some of them, as well all the other questions that everyone else will email.

I’m not a fan of Solondz’s films, but he’s an original. His films are provocative and thought provoking and interesting. That makes him a rarity. I hope he makes more.

I love the fact that Criterion is releasing one of Todd Solondz's films, but why Life During Wartime? Welcome To The Dollhouse or Happiness would have been a much better decision. Is it something to do with the right's over his early films?
