• A veteran writer and producer, Phil Rosenthal is best known for creating one of the most popular sitcoms of all time, Everybody Loves Raymond, a long-running hit that earned him two Emmy Awards. In 2015, he stepped in front of the camera, focusing on his gastronomic passions in the James Beard Award–winning food documentary series I’ll Have What Phil’s Having, which is now available to stream on Netflix. On a recent trip to New York, he paid a visit to our closet and chatted with us about some of his favorite films in the collection, including Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove, Preston Sturges’s Sullivan’s Travels, and Alfred Hitchcock’s Foreign Correspondent.

He seems like he would be a really great person to hang out with. One of the more entertaining Criterion videos in a long time!
