Donald Richie Live!

May 7, 2009

Donald Richie recently came through the United States on his eighty-fifth-birthday tour, and along the way he stopped in Berkeley for a conversation with longtime friend, Telluride codirector, and Mishima producer Tom Luddy. Those who have heard Donald’s Criterion interviews and commentaries, or read his books on Japanese cinema, know that there are few people more eloquent, plainspoken, or knowledgeable than he is. Now, thanks to FORA.tv, you can hear this entire new interview (part of the Berkeley Arts + Letters program) live. It’s a real treat!
