The Criterion Collection

Writer and aspiring filmmaker, movies have changed my life since an early age. The art of film for me is a reflective medium that represents the most important aspects of the human condition. Criterion has provided me with so much access to the best of cinema (with my first true viewing of a foreign film: Akira Kurosawa's "Rashomon") and amazes and excites me every year with some of the best DVD and blu-ray releases on the market. I've learned just as much from masters like Akira Kurosawa, Ingmar Bergman, Federico Fellini and Jean-luc Godard as I have from American directors because of Criterion! As I experiment on my own with film, I lookward to seeing what's next in the medium. The possibilities are endless!
