New to Criterion and my wish list is longer than my collection, but I greatly appreciate how these editions deepen the impact of the films by adding smart, key extras. And the fact that Criterion includes great cult hits and early silents as well as more recent films makes it a wonderful asset to anyone interested in a serious study of how film intersects with other forms of popular culture.
- Favorite director: Can't select just one - David Lean, John Ford, Coen brothers, etc.
- Favorite Criterion edition: Island of Lost Souls - thanks for including these kinds of films
- Most wanted in the collection: More great silent films in general
