I've loved international films since I first went to college and worked in an art house theater, and continue to look for the unique, unusual, and outrageous in film. And in life, actually. I bemoan the current state of American cinema, and hope for a resurgence of interest in movies that are neither bad take-offs of mediocre television series, nor fleshed out comic books (though I confess a guilty love for a few of them). I have a specific passion for the independent American films of the 70s, and believe that no one can touch, or even approach, Robert Bresson as a director, except for maybe Jean Vigo.
