• Check out what Michel Gondry created for our new release The Complete Jean Vigo. Yes, he loves Vigo that much.

Still one step ahead of what you didn't do.

Nice charming short work and very much in the spirit of Vigo. I attribute any negative comments to "internet muscles" or uninspired performance art.

lame? i found it terribly sweet. yes, twee as fuckall. but that is part of gondry's mission statement. t'wld be a great trailer for l'atalante. (but it does make me curious to see what sort of short tributes david lynch, j.-l. godard, terry gilliam, jane campion, fred scepisi, wong kar wai, & bill plympton wld come up with....)

I found it very creative, and unique, and I waiting to see what else Michel Gondry has up his sleeve.

I agree MA there's too much uncritical thinking from fan-boys and -girls, but dude, it's 45 seconds long. On those grounds it's not bad and because of that fact unable to be remarkable. Gondry made the most of those limitations.

I find it hard to believe someone call the piece 'totally unremarkable' - surely its a nice short sprint of creativity. I mean, do you need to have five Fellinis and a garnish of Kubrick in a short less than a minute? Can't Gondry have some oddball fun right there?

Fun and succinct; the animated equivalent of a tribute Tweet.

What a load of crap, Gondry is unable to do anything remotely good since Eternal Sunshine...

A pleasant enough diversion that stimulates my appetites for the forthcoming feast of Vigo. I just think it's cool that Gondry took the time. I had the great pleasure of working with him many years ago on an award winning TV spot for Levi's

Maybe Criterion should ban comments. We don't really need to know what random assholes on the internet think.
