lame? i found it terribly sweet. yes, twee as fuckall. but that is part of gondry's mission statement. t'wld be a great trailer for l'atalante.
(but it does make me curious to see what sort of short tributes david lynch, j.-l. godard, terry gilliam, jane campion, fred scepisi, wong kar wai, & bill plympton wld come up with....)

I agree MA there's too much uncritical thinking from fan-boys and -girls, but dude, it's 45 seconds long. On those grounds it's not bad and because of that fact unable to be remarkable. Gondry made the most of those limitations.

I find it hard to believe someone call the piece 'totally unremarkable' - surely its a nice short sprint of creativity. I mean, do you need to have five Fellinis and a garnish of Kubrick in a short less than a minute? Can't Gondry have some oddball fun right there?

“Speaking as a fellow Adam, you, sir, make me ashamed to share the same name. Obviously another pretentious contrarian. What's the matter, more than 500 people know who PTA is, so you don't like him . . .”
“Thanks, Vincent.
I saw this film for the first time, actually, and I thought it was very eerie, haunting, and chilling. It's like a slasher film without the slashing, a horror movie without the . . .”
