A film buff all my life, as a teenager in the 60's I was captivated by art-house films and anything foreign. I've since traveled to over 30 countries which has only deepened my love of cinema. I have also read extensively and enjoy seeing how favorite directors bring favorite literary works to life with a differing perspective. Particularly enjoy films that explore what is called the human condition in meaningful ways. To me the primary special effects required in any film regardless of genre are those a thoughtful and capable actor brings to his character. To me the worth of a director is not determined by the size of a given film's gross but by the depth and breadth of his cinematic explorations. Films have been a lifetime passion of mine and one in which I continue to find new delight and meaning no matter how often I've seen any particular one.
