Adventures in Moviegoing with Bill Hader

Today on the Criterion Channel, at FilmStruck, we’re premiering Adventures in Moviegoing, an ongoing original series in which we invite filmmakers, actors, musicians, and other artists to talk about their formative experiences as cinephiles. Our first guest is comedian and actor Bill Hader, a longtime Criterion friend who has previously expressed his movie love in a top ten list and a closet video for us. In this program, he muses on everything from his memories of watching movies with his father in Oklahoma to Ozu’s expert deployment of fart jokes.

For a preview of what’s in store, check out the above excerpt, in which Hader recalls the awkward time he forced his seventh-grade girlfriend to watch Barton Fink.
