Speaking of The Rose Tattoo, that would make a great bluray release

Wow...1974...As much as I love Gena Rowlands, I'd have a hard time picking between her and Ellen Burstyn in "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" as well. Still, I'm surprised Julianne Moore wasn't nominated for "Safe".

As much as I love Ellen Burstyn, Gena Rowlands gave one of the most devastating, shocking, and intense performances in film history. "A Woman Under the Influence" was just absolutely unflinching.

Still hoping for the Bryan Forbes trilogy of Best Actress nominees from 63-65-67.

Ranging to the 2010's now! Marion Cotillard, deserving as anyone. Just a note that with this edition to the collection, the description of this list should be tweaked!

Wow! Almost a two decades gap between Breaking the Waves and Two Days, One Night! What about more contemporary great films, Criterion?

Watching 45 Years tonight; shouldn't this be updated to include Charlotte Rampling's nomination therein?
