I was introduced to the collection with the films of Akira Kurosawa. The first of his films seen being Seven Samurai. My collection started with the Yojimbo/Sanjuro Box-Set, followed by numerous of his other films. From there on I was hooked. After the completion of his films I began to expand my knowledge of other great films, such as that of Ingmar Bergman, Andrei Tarkovsky, Federico Fellini, Kenji Mizoguchi, Jean Renoir and Luis Buñuel. As I became more involved with their work I grew further and further away from the conventional films of Hollywood, which continued to push me deeper into the collection, changing my life for the better.
