Serious film buff since day one. first job where you get an actual paycheck - usher & doorman at film art house movie venue (Fine Arts Theatre - Snider Plaza) by SMU in Dallas. featured sub-titled foreign films/off beat independents. Now a picture vehicle coordinator for feature film production. Its all been one big circle with lots of diversions in between. Reflecting back I can see I landed on the X mark. I remain grateful, love my work, crew, and wouldn't trade my venue for the world. Timing and fortuitous luck played huge parts in the success . Like anything in life, it comes and goes akin to the tides. I embrace what Criterion Collection has done for DVD/blu-ray because one's personal investment keeps a relative value plus doubles as immense film history . They have done more to educate the many, upgraded their output, while evolving into a never ending entity, striving to be and do their best. Respects paid and due. I never intended to have a huge library. Their enjoyment is endless as is my appetite to consume, absorb film. Austin remains a mecca for all aspects of film production, film festivals, script writing, and independent invention. Lucky stars shine.
