I don't have some deep, examination/commentary on why these are my ten favorite Criterions, I just think they're great movies (:
The best of the best, literally. In my opinion, the greatest director's greatest movie.
Amazing how a movie filmed almost entirely in one tiny room can be so awesome.
The greatest actor of all time is somehow overshadowed, as George C. Scott steals the show.
Nothing need be said about this one. Amazing.
One of the greatest movies I've ever seen. You experience every emotion possible, including absolute terror.
Three hours seems like one. So good.
Legendary movie, and rightfully so.
Horribly depressing movie, but I couldn't help but love it. The end is very touching.
I was blown away by this movie when I saw it. Simple and deep at the same time, and the acting is top-notch.
Very slow, methodical, old-school horror movie, which I was surprised by how much I enjoyed.
