Any chance we'll see Red Road in the collection? Almost as good as Fish Tank, maybe more disturbing... Is there a better up and coming filmmaker than Andrea Arnold right now?

2) Katie Jarvis's & Michael Fassbinder's mesmerizing performances.
3) Andrea Arnold's gritty, uncompromising, unsettling, and also truthful direction.

1. Great second-best film so far, after Red Road.
2. Dance training then hopes dashed by the real world.
3. Fassbender tempted by the teenager he's being tender to.

1. Katie Jarvis actually grew up in these places. She gives a blistering performance.
2. Growing up in a British Council House is no better than growing up in an American housing project.
3. If you thought any episode of "Eastenders" gives you a scorching look at life in everyday England, wait till you see "Fish Tank".
“Saw LTIP for first time today. I was disappointed. Yes it was shot beautifully. Yes, Brando still had a lovely face in 1972 (tho the hair-ugh, an abomination). But there was no way for me as a woman . . .”
“Within the year I purchased a blue ray of this great classic. I however decided I wanted to compare the Criterion DVD with the Criterion blue ray. Watched the first 15 minutes of both. I have to . . .”
“Keep in mind that many like myself, who have never seen the film in any format, are concerned less about the "viewing compromises" than we are about simply being able to see what we are being told . . .”
“The vocal track at the beginning is by Teo Usuelli, who is the composer for the film. I noticed that one of the pop songs playing while Piccoli plays dinner uses the same a'capella track just with . . .”
