Thanks

To all of you who came out to help us replace all the old links with criterion.com links, I want to express our thanks. Our friends at the Criterion Forum pulled off a global search-and-replace of hundreds of links across their site by midnight of the day I posted our plea. I've posted a link to their site over on the right. Thanks guys! Thanks also to the tireless few who fanned out at Wikipedia and reported back as, one by one, director and film pages got updated. Our staffers kept visiting pages aiming to update links, only to find that they'd already been fixed. We feel very fortunate and grateful that there are people out there willing to go to such trouble on our behalf.

Help Moving

We could use a hand. After many years at criterionco.com, our website domain has finally changed to the plain and simple www.criterion.com. That means we've got a big job ahead of us: getting all the existing inbound links updated so that the search engines know where to find us. Criterionco.com links still function (we've forwarded the whole domain), but according to Google and Yahoo!, the most important thing we can do is change as many inbound links as we can find. If you're willing to help, here's a few things you can do:

1. If your site or blog contains links to any of our pages, please update them to read "http://www.criterion.com/..." not "criterionco.com."

2. If you know a site that links to a criterionco.com URL, drop the webmaster a note or let our Jon Mulvaney know, and we'll contact them directly.

3. There are hundreds of editable Wikipedia pages that contain Criterion external links (think of all the Criterion films, directors, etc.) that need to be updated.

4. Spread the word!

If you update any links for us, please drop us a note and let us know. This is a big, important job, and we'll be grateful for all the help we can get.
