Using the Search Engine

Enter your keyword or phrase in the text box provided and click the search button. When using the simple search, your keyword or phrase should be a person or movie title and, depending on which type of search you indicate, will search the movie title or cast, credits, directors, and authors sections of the database. The advanced search allows you the added option of broader range of words, e.g. "technicolor", "france", "WWII" and allows you to pick and choose from all regions of the database which parts are searched.

Search Engine Tips:

1) Although the search uses sophisticated algorithms to allow for a certain margin of error in the form of misspellings or missing words, you should type your query in as carefully and correctly as possible for best results.

2) Results are returned in order of most matches per query. When searching for words or phrases in the advanced search, you will probably find it most convenient to use the most relevant query for your search.
